This past May, Portable Air had the honor of providing climate control at the Kennedy Space Center for NASA’s 4th Annuall Lunabotics Mining Competition . This four day event brings people and students from all over the world together in order to compete for a chance to win the $5000 grand prize. The majority of the competition was held in outside tents and pavilions, right at the beginning of Florida’s hot summer. Without the air conditioning units provided by Portable Air, the humid Florida heat would have been absolutely unbearable for the students and judges. Luckily, we were successfully able to keep the entire complex cool for the duration of the competition.
For the competition, Portable Air was able to:
- Provide air conditioning comfort to over 700 college students and adults coming from 50 universities and 8 different countries.
- Supply air conditioning to multiple outside tents.
- Keep all of the tents cool for the entire four days.
- Be available 24 hours a day in case assistance was needed.
