Luckily there are several expansive and informative HVAC events held around the globe each year, providing a gateway for those in the field to gain first-hand knowledge, discover new ways to increase business, and arm themselves with the latest news and happenings in the world of HVAC.

Below are some local and well-attended HVAC conventions coming up in the next year. Some events are being held virtually this year due to the ongoing COVID crisis, but this list will be good to keep on hand once things return to normal and large events are able to have physical attendees again.

Originally the ‘American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers’ (ASHRAE) conference was set to take place in Austin, TX this year, but it will now be held virtually. However, the information and new knowledge you’ll gain from industry experts and specialists will still be as relevant as ever, as ASHRAE has put together a comprehensive virtual schedule to keep attendees engaged and learning, whether they choose to watch live or log in to view the conference at a later date.
Virtual attendees will have access to 92 technical sessions (300 speakers), live sessions related to the COVID pandemic, virtual networking happy hours, updates from society leaders, live chats, Q&A, and much more!

High-Performance HVAC Summit 2020

For high-performance based contractors, this HVAC summit focuses on marketing, selling, and delivering high-performance HVAC systems. This year their theme is Coaching, where the summit aims to help you perfect your team through workshops and hands-on participation, ‘where you will experience advanced tests and calculations to diagnose and offer highly profitable system upgrades, just as your teams do in the field.’ You’ll also be invited to an idea meeting for lead generations and sales, as well as have the chance to attend an awards ceremony dedicated to the very best in HVAC.

Eastern Energy Expo

In its fifth year, the Eastern Energy Expo (EEE) focuses on the energy and comfort industries, including wholesale and retail heating fuel marketers, propane marketers, and of course HVAC service professionals. This year, during the entire month of August, their expo will be virtual On Demand. Though the full schedule isn’t posted just yet, EEE hopes to give attendees the same rich experience online as if in person, with an interactive trade show filled to the brim with business and technical education programs, the ability to tour exhibits, chat with vendors, watch “live” seminars and business sessions, and much more.

Known as the largest HVACR event, the AHR expo changes destinations every year and usually includes around 50 – 72,000 attendees and exhibitors, along with enormous exhibit halls ripe for exploration. ASHRAE Winter Conference

Taking place during the same weekend as the AHR Expo in Chicago, the ASHRAE Winter Conference technical program is a great opportunity for HVAC professionals to engage with leaders in the industry. This conferences’ goal is to find effective ways to reduce impact on the environment and energy use, ‘focusing on the foundations of the HVAC&R industry.’ Just a few of the programs scheduled are: Building Performance and Commissioning for Operation and Management, International Design, and Energy Conservation.
